Employment Claims

Employment claims are filed when an employee feels that he or she has been mistreated or feels that a certain procedures are unfair. An example of this could be when an employer will dismiss an employee unfairly. If the employee has been with the company for over a year, the employee may file for an unfair dismissal claim.

You may also file a claim for race discrimination, disability discrimination, sex discrimination, religious belief discrimination, and sexual orientation. These are usually the cases that happen with employers, prospective and individuals.

Presently, there are a lot of sexual claims that have been filed within a lot of workplaces. These claims are usually about sexual harassment, pregnancy related dismissals, requests on flexible working times, pay equality claims where in one sex is paid more with no justifications of the difference, and a policy or rule that may affect women more than man or vice versa.

Other than sexual discrimination, is sexual orientation claims. This is very common. Certain individuals receive less favourable treatment because of their sexual orientation or because they think that the individual’s sexual orientation different from theirs. This are considered as sexual orientation discrimination and can be filed for a claim.
